Five of these distribution and logistics warehouse facilities are located on the northwestern coast of the United States, with immediate access to the Ports of Seattle, Tacoma, and Portland.

Herche Transfer, a local drayage company related to United Warehouses through common ownership, delivers the customer's orders within the Seattle and Portland commercial zones.

Cleanliness often takes a back seat to efficiency for many logistics and distribution companies. Sanitation is important to United and to United's customers. The American Sanitation Institute and the American Baking Institute have awarded commendations to United for its attention to detail in this area. These high standards are maintained by employing a full-time sanitation crew to keep all of the warehouses clean, neat, and orderly, all the while demanding the most efficient processes possible.

United has expanded the materials handling area in order to provide extra distribution and logistics services to customers. The most up-to-date equipment has been acquired. United also has the ability to masterpack certain items for the price clubs.

United Warehouses' communication center houses the latest in computer software for the distribution and logistics industry. This technology enables United to trace shipments, communicate with manufacturers, and locate and rotate stock according to the customer's distribution and logistics needs.
